Where is the market located?
Outdoors on the grounds of the Confederation Landing Park (#2 Great George Street) on the waterfront in downtown Charlottetown.
What are the market dates for 2026?
The market is held every Sunday beginning at the end of June or beginning of July and ends the first Sunday of October. For 2026, the market starts on July 5th and ends on October 4th.
What are the hours of operation?
Sundays from 10am to 3pm - rain or shine.
Is the market open to the public and fully accessible?
Yes, the market is open to the public and is a free event. We welcome all and ensure that everyone is treated with respect. There are accessible parking spaces on Great George Street and the site is fully wheelchair accessible.
Is the market a safe space?
The market is in a public space, and we follow the City of Charlottetown’s by-laws for public spaces. However, we welcome all and ensure that everyone is treated with respect.
Is the market kid friendly?
Definitely, some of our vendors have products for kids, and there is a large grassy area to run around in.
Is the market pet friendly?
Absolutely, and we have pet food and pet product vendors. Several put out water for pets!
Are there washroom facilities?
Yes, there are washroom facilities on either side of the market site at Peake’s Quay and at Founder’s Hall.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes, there is a parking lot adjacent to the market site, and street parking close by.
Does the market feature locally made items and local vendors?
Yes, we have specific criteria for our vendors. They must be PEI-based businesses using locally sourced materials as much as possible.
What can I expect to find at the market?
A wide variety of LOCAL fresh and prepared foods, pottery, cider, jewelry, arts and crafts, clothing, games, pet products, books, fresh flowers, leather, and farm produce (in season).
What is the criteria for selecting vendors for the market?
Yes, we have specific criteria for our vendors. They must be PEI-based businesses using locally sourced materials as much as possible.
